Food, Exercise and Symptom Diary 2024

This year I am working on my finding the right Cimzia (TNF Inhibitor) and dosage and timing for my body while also trying hormone pellets for the first time.

January 2024

I did a damp January this year. I only drank over 1 girls weekend.

February 2024

February was also “damp” by my standards. I made poor food choices occasionally and I ended up with this horrible ulcer on my gum that was very slow to heal at the same time that I cracked a tooth that ultimately needed a crown. I had a massive argument with my spouse that may be why I was clinching my teeth at night. I’m starting to recognize the toll the marital stress causes me. It’s so upsetting. I was also beginning to suspect that the Cimzia was keeping my body from healing itself as quickly as it should.

March 2024

I increased my exercise in March by focusing on walking regularly again and I started using my Pilates classes before they expired. I also tried a chiropractor adjustment every other week for a while. Just on my SI joint. One time I felt a sudden shift & I was sore for a week or so after the adjustment, but otherwise, I didn’t notice a change. I was still struggling with respiratory issues that I blame on the Cimzia. If this happens again next year then I will need to consider allergy testing. It has been constant for the last 6 months! Got my first hormone pellets March 19th

April 2024

There were a lot of celebrations this April. Lots of parties. I drank too much. The hormones seem to be the best thing for eliminating my low back or SI joint pain. It’s crazy. The downside is they caused me start bleeding again!

May 2024

I am continuing to drink too much and my gut is telling me about it. The hormones are helping though and unfortunately, they make it easier for me to live like I did when I was in my 30’s. I would feel so much better if I cut back.

June 2024

June is off to a great start. We spent a week in Aspen and I was able to hike from Maroon Bells to Crater Lake, bicycle to Woody Creek Tavern, Snowmass Village & back to Aspen, not to mention daily hikes and shorter bike rides around the town. It was a great way to kick off the summer.
